Pallet and Container Management
Pallets, containers, racks, etc. cost money. When not able to account for or retrieve these items, the client feels the impact to their bottom line. Land-Link understands the value and in many cases deploys the needed methods to retrieve these as part of the overall recommended logistics process.
Warehousing and Inventory Consulting and Support
When needed Land-Link is able to assist clients with warehouse design, implementation of state-of-the-art warehouse management systems, etc. In many cases, Land-Link will advise clients as to the optimal location for warehouses. In addition, Land-Link will identify and negotiate with appropriate third party warehouse organizations deemed to be most appropriate to support the client's needs. Once established, Land-Link coordinates activities with each facility including inbound and outbound shipping, put-away, pick-pack, pallet configurations, periodic inventories, required EDI transmissions, etc., etc.
Freight Claims Processing and Settlement
In the event that a shortage or damage should occur, Land-Link administers to the claim utilizing technology dedicated to the processing and management of freight claims. Land-Link obtains a copy of the commercial invoice and Proof of Delivery. It prepares the claim form itself, and then submits the entire package to the carrier for settlement. The appropriate follow-up is supported until the claim is successfully settled or denied by the carrier on legal grounds.
